So where will the vouchers come from for the troops returning from Iraq??? Too many folks are unaware that multiple family dwellings (apartments) also get forclosed on. These families are often thrown into the streets, and are then left homeless. Many of the folks who can only afford apartments are our veterans and active duty personnel. How much of this are we, the people supposed to take??? Stand up for our brothers and sisters who have already paid, and continue to pay the price of your freedom.

As past President of Southwest Arizona Stand Down, I am appalled at this idea of cutting the funding we have fought so long and so hard for. As a Vietnam Veteran and career VA employee, I am saddened. Has our America really come to the point where those who have already given so much more, are facing the Republican notion of taking away the very things we were promised by Mr. Lincoln, a Republican himself?? Do they no longer care for the veteran, his widow and children?? Is the almighty dollar so critical to thier financial survival that ours is no longer relevant?? I am orgainizin “Veterans 4 a fair America” in Southwest Arizona, and hope to graner support to grow this movemnet amongst those who have served with non-partisan ideals in support of our men and women who have proudly defended the values that grew this country.
